Coronavirus Practices & Precautions
How Our Counselling Services Will Be Managed During the Pandemic
Updated April 2021 – Paul and Joan have both been vaccinated using the Astra-Zeneca vaccine without any negative side-effects.
Providers of mental health counselling and support have been exempt from forced lock-down right since the start of the pandemic.
Tranceform Psychology remain open for face-to-face counselling under the provisions of the health protection (coronavirus) legislation and practice social distancing in the clinic as well as using remote temperature measuring equipment to verify that clients are not running high temperatures.
Please visit our Online Counselling page for more details.
In line with professional guidance on maintaining a safe clinical environment, we continue taking the following extra-measures.
- All clients have their temperature taken using infra-red remote monitirng systems.
- Clients and Therapists seating is, and will continue to be, separated by approx 10 feet distance.
- Door handles and any other surfaces that clients are likely to come into contact with, are regularly cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaner between sessions.
- We provide anti-bacterial hand gel for clients use before and after sessions.
- There will be no physical contact (hand-shaking etc.) during the sessions.
- There is NO compelling evidence for the use of face-masks but should clients wish to use them, that is fine.
We also ensure a flow of fresh air within the practice by keeping our windows slightly ajar during the sessions.
Precautions For Attending the Clinic
Please do not arrange to attend your sessions if you have even the slightest concern that you have any Coronavirus symptoms, specifically a new and persistent cough, high temperature or are feeling unwell in any way. If you do need to cancel, please let us know by either text or e-mail.
Therapists at Tranceform will also be following the same advice and will not practice if they have any hint or suggestion of illness in any way.
As of April 2021 none of the therapists at the clinic have contracted or had any symptoms associated with this illness.
We are absolutely committed to putting client and therapist welfare before financial considerations whilst recognising that lockdown isolation is also a serious concern for mental well-being.
Payments for courses will continue to be processed using our existing PayPal facility.
NHS CCG payments will continue to be processed through the Tradelink facility already in place.
Health & Safety
Clearly we want our clients, new and existing, as well as ourselves, to be as safe and healthy as possible during this difficult period.
This means that EACH of us needs to take responsibility for our own welfare and take the necessary steps that we believe are required to keep ourselves so.
By taking this approach we should be able to continue to support your mental health needs particularly in these times of high anxiety.
