Coronavirus – May Update
How Our Couselling Services Will Be Managed During the Pandemic
Updated 3rd May 2020.
Providers of mental health counselling and support have been exempt from forced lock-down right since the start of the pandemic, however, due to high levels of anxiety and prior to passing the peak of infections a decision was made to suspend all direct face-to-face contact with clients, both for our clients and our therapists safety.
Although we are still awaiting details of the relaxing of lockdown from Downing Street, it is our current expectation to re-commence face-to-face sessions starting on Tuesday 12th May.
Existing clients who have concerns and wish to continue deferring their sessions until such time as they feel able to attend, may continue to do so without any loss of sessions.
We will also continue to offer both new and existing clients online counselling using our Zoom facility.
Please visit our Online Counselling page for more details.
In line with professional guidance on maintaining a safe clinical environment, we will be taking the following extra-measures.
- Clients and Therapists seating is, and will continue to be, separated by approx 10 feet distance.
- Door handles and any other surfaces that clients are likely to come into contact with, will be regularly cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaner between sessions.
- We are able to provide anti-bacterial hand gel for clients before and after sessions.
- There will be no physical contact (hand-shaking etc) during the sessions.
- There is NO compelling evidence for the use of face-masks but should clients wish to use them, that is fine.
Precautions For Attending the Clinic
Please do not arrange to attend your sessions if you have even the slightest concern that you have any Coronavirus symptoms, specifically a new and persistent cough, high temperature or are feeling unwell in any way. If you do need to cancel, please let us know by either text or e-mail.
Therapists at Tranceform will also be following the same advice and will not practice if they have any hint or suggestion of illness in any way.
As of the 3rd May 2020 none of the therapists at the clinic have contracted or had any symptoms associated with this illness.
We are absolutely committed to putting client and therapist welfare before financial considerations whilst recognising that lockdown isolation is also a serious concern for mental well-being.
Payments for courses will continue to be processed using our existing PayPal facility.
NHS CCG payments will continue to be processed through the Tradelink facility already in place.
Health & Safety
Clearly we want our clients, new and existing, as well as ourselves, to be as safe and healthy as possible during this difficult period.
This means that EACH of us needs to take responsibility for our own welfare and take the necessary steps that we believe are required to keep ourselves so.
By taking this approach we should be able to continue to support your mental health needs particularly in these times of high anxiety.
Paul, Joan & Justina – May 3rd 2020.
For most mental health issues we recommend following our 10 session Tranceformental CBT Programme (an advanced version of conventional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to overcome a wide range of mental health and behavioural problems.
CBT is a proven form of therapy for developing a fundamental level of understanding into the dynamics of your problem, but also for learning new coping skills and strategies for sustainable change over your life.
Tranceformental CBT is available On-line as well as a one-to-one format in the clinic.
Visit Online Counselling for more details.
The Changing Limiting Beliefs Programme is a 'state-of-the-art' approach to overcoming mental health problems that is grounded in proven CBT principles and based on the subjective nature of reality.
Priced at £695 for 10 sessions, or £80 on a session-by-session basis (cash only please).
