Does Hypnosis Really Work?
It seems that even with a history of more than 100 years of successful use, there are still many people who think that Hypnosis is some sort of “trick” or is “not real”.
How many times have we been asked:
“Does Hypnosis really work?”
“Do you think you’ll be able to get me under..”
Well think about this:
Do anti-depressants REALLY work?
I would estimate that 50% of people consulting me for Depression are taking anti-depressants, so the answer would appear to be “sometimes they appear to work for some people, but not for everybody…”
Does this mean that Doctors are charlatan practitioners then?
Of course not, the fact is that anti-depressants MAY work, and Analytical Therapy MAY work.
The variable that determines the efficacy of all of these techniques is not the technique itself, but the Human Being who is taking/experiencing the technique.
One thing is for sure, Hypnosis and Analytical Therapy CANNOT have any detrimental effects but the same CANNOT be said for some prescription medicines.
If you want to find out more about the “type” hypnosis that is practiced in our clinic, then why not go to our What is Hypnosis Page on the website.
