Mental Health Prevention
Why wait until you have developed a mental health problem when you could protect yourself against them in the first place?
With the recent NHS shift towards mental health prevention rather than a singular focus on ‘curing’ pre-existing mental health problems, Tranceform Psychology are pleased to offer our most effective programme designed to help you prevent problems before they occur.
Our beliefs-based course of CBT (Tranceformental CBT) is an applied psycho-educational programme that helps people to:
- Develop a deep understanding of how core values and beliefs create unhelpful (yet logical) ‘rules for living’
- Identify which particular ‘rules for living’ are currently causing difficulties, or are likely to cause difficulties if not mitigated
- Become fully aware of how both the core values and rules for living lead to behavioural outcome and symptoms
Once a person has identified these THREE core psychological paradigms within themselves, they then go on to learn a range of tools and techniques, all based on peer-reviewed scientific principles, that can change symptoms and behaviours before they are created.
Prevention is Better than Cure
For the past 10 years we have been helping people to overcome mental health problems using a comprehensive suite of methods, including CBT
Tranceform have been an approved supplier of resilience and coping skills training for the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Clinical Commissioning Group since January 2018 and have been achieving fantastic results with staff, managers and heads of service since that time.
You can read what the Human Resources Director, Alice McGee, said about our partnership with the NHS CCG group here.
We are currently working with them to develop our mental health prevention services with an aim to making our programme a ‘standard’ element of their professional training and development programme.
