Mental Health Prevention Services
With the recent NHS shift towards mental health prevention rather than a singular focus on ‘curing’ pre-existing mental health problems, Tranceform Psychology are pleased to offer our most effective programme designed to help you prevent problems before they occur.
Our beliefs-based course of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is an applied psycho-educational programme that helps people to:
- Develop a deep understanding of how core values and beliefs create unhelpful (yet logical) ‘rules for living’
- Identify which particular ‘rules for living’ are currently causing difficulties, or are likely to cause difficulties if not mitigated
- Become fully aware of how both the core values and rules for living lead to behavioural outcome and symptoms
Once a person has identified these THREE core psychological paradigms within themselves, they then go on to learn a range of tools and techniques, all based on peer-reviewed scientific principles, that can change symptoms and behaviours before they are created.
Prevention is Better than Cure
For the past 10 years we have been helping people to overcome mental health problems using a comprehensive suite of methods, including CBT
Tranceform are an approved supplier of resilience and coping skills training for the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Clinical Commissioning Group since January 2018 and have been achieving fantastic results with staff, managers and heads of service since that time.
We are currently working with them to develop our mental health prevention services with an aim to making our programme a ‘standard’ element of their professional training and development programme.
Transform Your Thinking to Improve Mental Health
If you would like to develop effective mental health prevention strategies then we highly recommend following either our Advanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy course with Paul, or the Changing Limiting Beliefs (CLB) Programme with Joan.
Both the CBT course and Changing Limiting Beliefs approach are highly successful & pragmatic psychological training programmes, run over 10 sessions, that will teach you everything you need to know to understand your problem, identify how unhelpful thinking and limiting beliefs might be reinforcing the issue, and then show you how to make any changes to your unhelpful thinking styles or maladaptive safety behaviours that you may have developed as part of your coping strategies.
Our CBT programme is an evidence-based, research supported approach used by mental health practitioners around the World.
FREE Initial Consultations for Mental Health Prevention Programmes
We offer all prospective clients a FREE initial consultation to chat about how we could help you learn mental health prevention strategies. During this 50 minute consultation we will discuss the various options that are available to you and make a considered recommendation based on your individual personal circumstances.
At Tranceform Psychology we recognise the importance of the relationship between therapist and client so it’s very important to be able to meet PRIOR to agreeing any kind of help.
Our policy is to help people make a fully balanced & considered decision about undertaking therapy or training with us, including both the financial and personal implications.
For most mental health issues we recommend following our 10 session Tranceformental CBT Programme (an advanced version of empirically established Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to overcome a wide range of mental health and behavioural problems.
CBT is a proven, evidence-based form of therapy for developing a fundamental level of understanding into the dynamics of your problem, but also for learning new coping skills and strategies for sustainable change over your life.
Tranceformental CBT is available On-line as well as a one-to-one format in the clinic.
