Life Coaching is a process specifically designed to help a person develop new strategies in all areas of their life, including work, home, social and personal relationships.
It is an increasingly popular way to help people who want to strike a better balance between all of the competing demands that contemporary life involves.
Although Life Coaching is sometimes used to help people overcome personal ‘barriers’ (or sometimes problems) the vast majority of people seeking a life coach do so not from the perspective of being somehow ‘broken’ but through a desire to expand their range of possibilities and skills.
Whatever your motivation to follow a life coaching course, much of the work that is involved is focused on helping you to develop greater levels of personal insight into your current thinking so that you can then set about a specific and targeted programme of improvement using new coping skills, practical tools and evidence-based techniques.
In this respect, there may be very little difference between Life Coaching and Psychological Therapy in terms of what happens during sessions.
What Happens During Sessions of Life Coaching?
Our life coaching course is based on research supported applied psychology along with the foundational principles of Cognitive Behavioural theory combined with a structured and incremental approach.
The course takes place over 10 sessions which are held at the Tranceform training offices in Wombourne, is highly structured to build-up layers of knowledge and skills in a systematic and incremental way.
During the very first session we will carry out a psychometric evaluation of three principal ‘thinking domains’ as a way of determining the key areas of your thinking that we need to work with.
In between each session you will be studying our online course materials.
Is Life Coaching the Right Strategy for Me?
Life coaching is applicable for anybody who feels that their life, either personal, working or relational has reached a ‘peak’ or perhaps has become a bit stale.
We can help you to re-assess many of your coping skills as well as develop new ones that will allow you to move your life onto the next stage, whatever that might be.
Paul has a BSc. Honours degree as well as a Masters (MSc.) in applied Psychology. He has held a number of senior international roles in commercial organisations (at board level) both in the UK and continental Europe.
