All About Relationship Counselling in Wolverhampton & West Midlands with BACP Therapist Binder Somal

Relationships
Regardless of your relationship status, whether you’re on your own, married, living together, single, gay, bisexual, straight or transgender – Tranceform can help, however you identify.
Our associate psychotherapist and relationship counsellor, Binder, has more than 19 years experience working for the NHS and RELATE and has been working with people from different backgrounds, including LGBT individuals and couples.
Lots of people have an idea of what relationship counselling is and think that you only need counselling when things get really bad.
However, we’re here whenever you need us, no matter what situation you face in your relationship.
Even if your problems seem trivial, we can help.

What is Relationship Counselling?
Binder provides a caring, supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you find a way through any difficulties you may be facing in your relationship/s.
She will help you to identify and clarify the issues or problems you are facing in your relationship/s.
If couple counselling is the best way forward for both of you, you will embark on a series of counselling sessions – anything between six and twelve sessions is usual, but it will depend on the issues that you want to address.
Because partners often have different goals and aspirations for what they want out of a relationship, one of the earliest phases will be to establish an agreed focus on what the goals of the counselling should be.
For some couples, relationship counselling is the start of a longer process of discovery while for others, a few sessions of counselling may be all they need to get through a difficult patch.
Ad with all types of psychological therapy, relationship counselling is not a ‘magic’ solution.
It requires commitment, engagement and hard work.
Many individuals and couples find the process leads to an improvement in their relationships and at other times it may lead to separation and different life trajectories.
If this is the case then it is likely that partners may experience a different range of feelings which not be what one of you had planned for.
If a separation is the outcome, we can help you to manage that process as painlessly as possible and, in particular can offer support to either or both of you with the grieving process including what and when to tell children about what is happening.

Free Initial Consultations for Relationship Counselling
Binder offers all prospective clients interested in relationship counselling a FREE initial consultation to discuss issues prior to commencing any treatment plans.
The consultation is free and lasts around 50 minutes.
During this consultation she will discuss the various therapy options that are available to you and make a considered recommendation based on your individual personal circumstances.
At Tranceform Psychology we recognise the importance of the therapeutic relationship in helping people to bring about effective change, so its important to be able to ‘meet’ to discuss any therapy treatments BEFORE proceeding.
Our policy is to help people make a fully balanced & considered decision about undertaking work with us, including both the financial and personal implications.
