Jo, met with Rob Kelly to discuss the programme, what it’s about and how it works. Rob explained that, “Although cognitive behavioural therapy plays a small part, Thrive is more in depth.

It’s not just about thinking positively, it also provides you with the skills to change your thinking styles and give you belief you can make things happen.”

Jo, tells us that she wanted to learn ways of coping with stress, so she could become a calmer and more relaxed person around her husband and two young children.

Some initial reservations around effort and time commitments were quickly put into context and Jo left, “feeling as if a weight had been lifted.”

So how does she feel four weeks in and about halfway through the programme?

“I’ve already noticed a change.

When I lose my phone, I don’t fly into a blind panic, assuming that it’s been stolen, but calmly think about where I last saw it, and discover it in a side pocket of my bag.

Imagine what I’ll be able to do once I’ve finished the entire book.”
