Why Online CBT Works

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most evidence-based treatments for anxiety, depression, OCD, and many other problems – and it’s just as effective online as it is face-to-face.

  • Convenience – no travel, fits into your schedule
  • Privacy – attend sessions from a comfortable, secure space
  • Flexibility – access therapy from anywhere in the UK
  • Proven Results – same outcomes as in-person CBT

Online CBT is a dynamic and accessible approach to mental health support that utilises digital platforms to connect clients with qualified therapists from anywhere in the world.

This method allows individuals to participate in therapy sessions through video conferencing, making it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and reducing barriers such as travel and stigma.

Clients experience the same quality of care as they would in traditional settings, with the added benefit of privacy and comfort.

Online CBT is particularly beneficial for those who may feel anxious about attending in-person sessions, providing a safe space to explore thoughts and emotions while receiving tailored guidance and strategies from qualified practitioners.

With a commitment to fostering strong therapeutic relationships, practitioners use technology to engage in meaningful dialogue, ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and empowered on their journey to mental wellness.

What Online CBT Can Help With

Online CBT is suitable for most issues, including:

Research indicates that online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, can be as effective as traditional face-to-face therapy.

Many clients find the flexibility and convenience of online sessions to be advantageous, allowing them to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own environment.

This format can also reduce the stigma associated with attending therapy in person and may encourage individuals who otherwise might feel hesitant to seek help.

Furthermore, the use of video conferencing platforms like Zoom facilitates meaningful interactions and supports the building of trust and rapport between therapists and clients, which are essential components for successful outcomes in therapy.

How Much Does Online CBT Cost?

Online CBT therapy is exactly the same as face-to-face therapy with research suggesting that there is little difference between online therapy and therapy in a clinical setting.

Online CBT with Tranceform costs £90 per hour and is available with Paul - sorry Joan does not offer online therapy.

Our pre-paid 10 session course of CBT, which also comes with an online training package, is also available to undertake online and includes 10 sessions (1 hour each) using Zoom no matter where you are located.

The 10 session programme costs £795

How Do I Start Online Therapy with Tranceform?

Firstly, get in touch to arrange an initial consultation over Zoom (or in person at the clinic) which all clients undertake prior to deciding to follow a course of therapy.

This initial consultation costs £30 and lasts around 50 minutes.

Technical Requirements Sessions

  • We recommend using either a PC, Laptop or Tablet for your online therapy sessions.
  • Smartphones can be used but are not the best devices due to the very small screensizes.
  • We use a 27" monitor and HD 1080p Camera.
  • We also recommend using a headphone and microphone set-up although this is not essential.
  • Zoom simply requires you to click our invitation that we send to you via e-mail. Once you click the link you will join the meeting room. You will receive a new invitation for each weekly session to maintain security.

By using Zoom for online therapy sessions we are able to interact with clients in a meaningful way which positively supports the therapy relationship.

ABOUT PAUL

Meet Paul Lee MSc

Hello, I'm Paul and I've been working with people as a psychologist, psychotherapist and coach since 2009. I have expert knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and adopt a non-medicalised philosophy when helping people overcome mental health challenges. This means that I will frame your current difficulties as being the result of what has happened to you rather than what is wrong with you.
